At the start of Untitled Game Jam we were determined to work with an artist who could create an awesome mascot for us. We met StrangelyWeirder on Instagram and really enjoyed his work. He started showing us awesome samples but then things got a bit weird. First, he was jumped and everything he had on him was stolen. His friend brought him a new phone so he was messaging us from the hospital and continuing to work on our commission. Things continued to get weirder when he started to tell us that people we watching/stalking him online and in person. He sent out the final copies of our commissioned art but then also told us that he was going to wipe his entire internet presence and go on the run. From that point forward we never heard from him again but we both hope things are going well for him. Either way, he did an amazing job with our first logo and we will always love Bernard. We spent years feeling bad that we were not rightfully crediting him for his work, but since he deleted himself from the internet we have just always been unsure who to credit. Someday we hope hear from him again, and maybe commission some more art.

After a few years we decided it was finally time for an upgrade. We had someone named Hayden join the Discord server and we quickly became big fans of their art. For this commission we wanted to provide something that any UGJ fan could use. So we worked with Hayden to have them design a 3D model that would work as our logo and a game object that people could put into their games. Below you can see the updated logo that we have been using for the last 2 years.
